120 tears

It was once just a road
You pass with 120 miles per hour
Until one decided to drop a memory
A memory, never to be forgotten
A memory with black hair, brown skin and a big white smile
One who makes me laugh and breaks me down
Tears me up and makes me frown
It’s still the same road
But while you pass it with 120 miles per hour
I pass it with 120 tears

In loving memory of Valerie Harred

Love and Leave

Over the last couple of years I met many men.

All with different looks, lifestyles, goals and languages.

They had two things in common, being complicated and having the XY chromosome.

I don’t regret meeting them, even though they didn’t gave me what I was looking for.

They took me back & forth, brought me up & down, got me high & low.

I’ve seen the sun & the rain, experienced laughter & pain.

And found out that their actions, their words mean nothing, unless stated otherwise.

Bittersweet I would say, bitter because of the tears and sweet because of the lessons.

Love and leave

My journey

No drama, no tears.. one quick hug and I walked away without looking back.
I hopped on the plane, like I hop on the bus every other day.
Little did I knew that it would be love at first sight.
I faced obstacles while climbing a moutain, but I reached the top
I found peace of mind and an amazing view.
And while I was standing on my board I could feel the effect of the Indian Ocean.
Coloured houses and coloured people, coloured my day.
I wandered around the city as I was one of them, one of the locals.
And as the sun went down, reality set in.
It was time to hop on the plane, like I hopped on the mini bus every other day.
Compared to the last time, I cannot say no drama..
Tears welled up in my eyes when I left Cape Town.
I felt at home in this rainbow nation.
I kept looking back until the city disappeared behind the clouds.
Yes Cape Town was beyond my imagination.
